Installation Method for SDEC C6121 28V 55A Alternator

I. Preparation (Mandatory)
1. Tools and Parts
Socket / wrench set: 10mm, 13mm, 14mm, 17mm, 19mm (core sizes)
Torque wrench (accuracy ±5%), ratchet wrench, belt tensioner tool, soft pry bar, insulated gloves

2. Safety and Vehicle Preparation
Park the diesel engine on level ground, turn off the engine, apply the parking brake, shift to neutral, and install wheel chocks.
Disconnect the 24V battery negative terminal and wait ≥5 minutes to discharge residual voltage (prevents short circuits and damage to the ECU / alternator regulator).
Lift the vehicle and secure with safety stands; remove the engine undertray and right-side trim panel.

Start and stop the diesel engine 3 times consecutively with an interval of ≥15 seconds between each; the alternator operates normally.

- Safety and Power Disconnection Rules (Top Priority)
Always disconnect the 24V battery negative terminal first and wait ≥5 minutes before working. DO NOT service with power connected.
The B+ terminal is a constant live high-current terminal. Working without power disconnection may cause short circuit, burnt wires, blown fuses, or ECU damage.
